Prepared veneers or high pressure laminates are bonded to the core material required by the customeron one of our 5 multidaylight presses.

Core materials can vary from chipboard to mdf, plywood and blockboard and all their variations that prevail, i.e. MR (moisture resistant), FR (fire resistant), ZF (zero formaldehyde), class O and class 1 (fire ratings) dependent on the specific requirements of the customer and the end application of the product. In addition we can also veneer fire retardant boards such as Monolux.

If shaped, lipped or cut to size panels/components are required then this machining is generally undertaken on the core material prior to the bonding of the veneer.

The appropriate glue is applied and the veneer is bonded to the core under heat and pressure in either our ‘daylight’ presses for flat panels, or a ‘vacuum’ press, for curved work.

Quality is then checked, noted and the panels are either sanded in our finishing department prior to despatch to the customer, or transferred to the machining department for further attention.
