With the appropriate veneers selected, veneer leaves are kept together in bundles to ensure the natural sequence is maintained whilst being guillotined to width prior to stitching.
Sequential veneer leaves are then either stitched by hand or by automated machinery utilising fibreglass thread and are ‘book matched’, ‘slip matched’, or ‘mismatched’ dependant on the visual appearance required.
All detailed inlay work is undertaken by hand by our skilled craftsmen, allowing the most detailed designs to be recreated in wood.
The process quality is checked and noted on our ‘process control’ documentation that remains with each and every order as it is processed through the factory.
